Corazón Tequila
Corazón Tequila: 1/2 Shots
Shot: The scent of this particular tequila is grainy. You almost don’t taste the tequila flavor because it burns like rubbing alcohol. (not that we’ve tried that…)
Tequila + Orange Juice: OJ with tequila flavoring. This would be the classic tequila sunrise taste, but we would suggest better tequila if you’re craving the sunrise. 2.5/5
Tequila + Sunny Delight: The flavor of this mix is subtle and mysterious. As you drink it the flavors hit you at different times. This is a good drink, and the SunnyD is superior to the OJ. 4.5/5
Tequila + Lemonade: The mix smells strongly of tequila. Unlike the SunnyD, the tequila flavor is a little more apparent in the mix. (However, negative aspects of tequila seem to be erased when your favorite song is playing whilst you drink.) 4/5
Tequila + Apple Juice: It’s not that bad, but tastes a little bit like a cleaning solvent. (Pine Sol anyone?) The tequila taste is a little strong in this mix. 3/5
Tequila + Fruit Punch: This drink tastes a little dry. The tequila flavoring seems to have gotten stronger as we went along our juice testing. This is probably due to the sugar content in the juices. 2.5/5
Tequila + Tonic Water: Sour as hell. Aaron gagged… 0.5/5
Tequila + Club Soda: Terrible. The drink had no flavor at all, but it actually was able to kill the tequila flavoring. 0.5/5
Tequila + Sprite: It’s like a tequila soda with some sugar added. However, this surprised us because we believe it could have been way worse. 2/5
Tequila + Fresca: Fresca masks the tequila right up until the end. It tastes like a new blend of fresca on your tongue that could possibly really refreshing. However, at or right around the instant of swallowing the tequila emerges and leaves you with that signature aftertaste. 2.5/5
Tequila + Coke: Surprisingly these flavors mixed! Although we were happy to taste a new flavor, the end result was actually not that pleasant. It would be much better to try Corazón with a citrus mixer. 3/5
Tequila + Root Beer: Decent, but one sip was plenty enough for us. 3/5
(Note: As always we love to hear back from our dedicated readers. Please feel free to post a comment on a blog, if you’ve tried any of these drinks or if you have your own mixer that you’d like us to try.)
